G e n e r a l . R P . R u l e s Use common sense: just be polite to your fellow RP members. This includes IC (in-character) posting in the RP areas, and OOC (out-of-character) posting in the other boards or PMing (Private Messaging). If any staff member starts getting complaints about your language, you can quite possibly get the boot.
RP Etiquette There are four types of bad RP etiquette: Excessive OOC, Metagaming, Godmoding, and Powermoding.Excessive OOC. When you are posting IC (in character), above all what we do not want to see is a whole bunch of posts that are nothing but OOC, one right after the other. Most OOC comments can be made over PMs. The occasional OOC is tolerated, but never by itself. Always include an IC post in the RP areas, and NEVER include IC in the non-RP areas.
Metagaming. Metagaming occurs when you use things that you the MEMBER knows, outside of the storyline, and act like you the CHARACTER also knows these things when they have no reason to. This automatically creates an unfair advantage to your characters in the situations you encounter.
Metagaming is fairly obvious in this kind of RP, because if your non-canon knows everything about a canon character, or your canon knows that by going here you'll fight whoever, then its obvious metagaming. Try to let your characters only know what would make sense for them to know.
Godmoding. Godmoding is taking control of someone else's character, no matter how slight the control is. Be certain that you don't do any accidental godmoding, or ask permission first.
By taking control I mean for instance that I might put, "Sora aimed at Ansem, but Ansem dodged the slash." Or, "Sora stabbed Ansem." Both of these are godmoding; the second one because something I did invaded the RP space that Ansem has. Since we are all supposed to be realistic on this site, Ansem himself would post if the blade actually stabbed him or if he dodged it.
Powermoding. Similar to godmoding, powermoding is acting way more powerful than your opponents or RP partners in a situation where you should not normally be that powerful. This would for example be something like, "Sora cast a spell that would automatically destroy Ansem, no matter what he did to defend himself." But it could also be something subtle like, "Sora blocked the attack," if there was no realistic way for him to block it.
Often we come across this problem on character profiles as well, and we will talk to you if you need to tone down your character's power. Failing to comply can result in suspension from the website. G u m m i . S h i p s . a n d . M u n n y Unless you get prior permission from a staff member (highly unlikely), you do NOT automatically have a Gummi Ship. And yes, Gummi Ships are the only way to travel between worlds. So until you get one, do NOT leave the world that you start in.
I happen to be the facilitator of the Gummi Shop, which you can access by clicking on the Shop button at the top of the screen. For every post you make, you get some Munny. You can use the Munny to buy things in the Gummi Shop, or if you like you can also donate Munny to your friends. If you have items that were bought or given to you, you can also sell them back to the shop for a bit less than their purchase price.
To build a Gummi Ship, buy both a Blueprint (whichever one you want) and the necessary parts for building it. Then send me a PM saying that you are ready to build your ship, and I will trade out your Blueprint and gummy blocks for the Gummi Ship you have "built." Once you have a Gummi Ship in your inventory, you can travel to other worlds.
